I *can* leave LinkedIn?!?

Earlier this year I received one of those “your connections” update emails from LinkedIn.

I sighed to myself… “I wish I could leave LinkedIn”.

And then a moment later I realized… I can leave LinkedIn! No one is stopping me.

LinkedIn serves no known purpose for me, but for years I thought “if I am in business, I should have a LinkedIn profile.”

But, really, do I need one?

I sincerely doubt it.

I logged into LinkedIn and deleted my account.

I felt good. Real good. Thinking back on it now, I still feel good.

Postscript

The same afternoon I also finally deleted my Facebook account that I hadn’t really used since 2019. And a Twitter account I hadn’t used since I don’t even know when.

I think that covers it.
